A life-long resident of the mossy Pacific Northwest, I've loved stories since I could string words together. Despite the dream of being a writer, for years I contented myself with private scribbles and the occasional work-adjacent writing project. Then I realized dreams weren't enough.
In 2015, I began grabbing every spare moment around the hours of a full-time job to strengthen my writing muscles. A couple years later, having created a handful of manuscripts. I left a much-loved career to devote myself fulltime to writing and the task of screwing up the courage to seek representation for my first novel. (Turns out, it’s not enough to write a book; at some point the work wants to be shared.) In 2024, realizing I had neither the inclination or patience for traditional publishing, I rallied behind the indie cause and in May, 2025 released my debut novel, Where We Come Home. My second book is slated to release in Winter, 2026.
I write Women’s Fiction, which means stories about women at various stages of life who are evolving—or need to—and how they navigate the process. I'm endlessly fascinated by how our edges, scratching up against those of others, has the potential to soften, challenge, and teach us. I believe in the transformative magic of ordinary life, convinced there is, ultimately, no such thing as ordinary.
My stories are always relational, and sometimes romantic. The explosions are (usually) emotional and commonplaces, like food, are involved. I expect my novels will land on the TBR pile you keep for when you need to cozy up and leave the chaos of the world for a hot minute.
When not writing or engaged in process of publishing, you’ll find me puttering among my roses and herbs, looking at the stars, cooking something delicious for my husband, chatting with my UK-based daughter, or cozied-up with my nose in someone else's book. Kindly do not interrupt the latter.
